General Session: The Mobile Revolution Isn't Over. Not by a long shot.

Speaker: Glenn Gruber, Co-Founder, Emerging Tech Research Council and Sr. Mobile Strategist, Propelics

Description: It’s been a decade since the App Store for the iPhone first opened. Since then we’ve gone through a revolution in computing. Since then millions of apps have been created and billions downloaded.

In the enterprise, we’ve matured significantly in dealing with mobile, especially with regards to device management and setting up enterprise app stores. It feels like we’ve got this mobile thing down. So, we start to look for the next big thing, the next shiny object to steal our attention. Instead of actually building out apps that can impact our employee’s productivity today, we look to tomorrow – Augmented Reality, Machine Learning, IoT to name a few.

But what many overlook is that each of those technologies can be leveraged today on the devices we have. The definition of mobile, the importance of mobile, in the enterprise is not shrinking, it is expanding with these technologies. The mobile revolution isn’t over, it’s just starting.  This session will define what you need to know to be succesful in designing next gen mobility.
